What is BRIDES?
BRIDES is a private Haitian company with patent No 263922. It’s an avant-guard company looking ahead to the 21st century. It has brought together efficient former civil servants and private technocrats all having college and graduate degrees granted by national and foreign universities. Firm believers in the market economy, and conscious of the deficiencies of Haiti about business matters, BRIDES is at the service of the state as well as national and international organizations engaged in the process of development.
Which are the services BRIDES can offer?
BRIDES has taken the engagement to offer various services having to do with Data Processing and with Social and Economic Development in the following fields:
On Data Processing Services:
• The training department of BRIDES trains technicians in data processing at all levels including mini computer operations, accounting data processing, computer programming, and regularly organizes seminars for the transmission of the latest technologies in computer science
• BRIDES makes available to public and private organizations evaluation studies for their need of computer hardware.
• The installation in computer systems
• We create, according to the needs of organizations, statistical computer software in order to make their productivity more efficient.
• We create data banks.
• With a staff of efficient office clerks BRIDES records statistical data on magnetic tape with all discretion and in all confidentiality.
On Economic and Social Services:
As far as services in statistics, BRIDES prepares social and economic surveys (national, regional, and local) about the population. Besides continual consultations, BRIDES offers:
• Project feasibility studies
• Evaluation, management, and control. Technical assistance in planning and monitoring of these projects.
• Direct execution of infrastructure projects such as: building of roads, bridges, irrigation canals, treating drinking water, building sidewalks, evacuating used water, digging underground wells, paving streets, etc.
• Urban architecture: Construction, beautification and maintenance of monuments and public parks, construction of modern administration buildings etc…
• Assisting local government, decentralizing territorial services of the state and grass-root organizations to maximize participation in the development process.
• BRIDES also performs impact studies of decisions on national economy, business, and population.
